We reserve the right to refuse any request we consider inappropriate, unreasonable, or unlawful. Rachel Vine Creative is an LGBTIQA+ friendly business that supports the Own Voices movement. We also reserve the right to refuse to work with clients or material that we deem racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, racially or culturally insensitive, xenophobic, or ableist.

Additional services may be requested via the website. Acceptance of such requests is at our sole discretion. If we agree to provide additional services, a new proposal will be issued outlining the scope and fee. Payment for additional services is required before commencement.

We are not responsible for advising on legal issues such as (but not limited to) privacy, copyright, defamation, intellectual property, confidentiality, or representations made by the Client in the material. Where possible, we may offer an opinion on questionable content if identified.

The Client confirms they have obtained all necessary third-party intellectual property rights for any material used, referenced, or illustrated. Ownership of intellectual property remains with the original owner.

The Client indemnifies us against any claims arising from the use or distribution of the material.

We make no guarantee or assurance that any advice given will lead you to be accepted by an agent or publisher, nor that additional services (e.g., blurbs, query letters, synopses) will lead to publication or increased sales. The publishing industry is subjective; our role is to help present your manuscript in the best possible shape.

As editing is subjective, no two editors will deliver identical advice, feedback or changes. Our editorial assessments, recommendations, and changes are based on professional judgement and experience. Payment is due regardless of Client agreement with all recommendations.

We strive for error-free work, but occasional errors may occur. It is the Client’s responsibility to review all work before publication or distribution, including accuracy and fact-checking. We strongly recommend engaging a proofreader to review the final proof copy to ensure the highest quality.
